These first classes we have been reading and discussing about the problem of uncontacted tribes that inhabit the brazilian amazon rainforest. These tribes have been attacked and killed constantly in order to aquire the place they have always lived in. The land gets all the trees cut and is used to raise cattle and for other economic growth reasons like plantations.
In my opinion, the decisions taken by the Brazilian Government and the people trying to take over their lands are extremely unfair. It is evident that the contact with "white people" is something that the natives dislike and they are living happily the way they do. The government has allowed this attack on their lands and taking them over because in some ways people that live on the outside "new" world just like ours, feel superior and believe that these tribes are primitive and undeveloped.
The way of life of this people is very simple, and they are very happy with it. This touches upon a topic that we discussed in class which asked why do they live so happy having so little in comparison to us and on the other hand we always want more and are unhappy with everything we have. In my opinion ,this is simply because we have a lot, and are always exposed to more and there are many opportunities out there that we see and urge us to want it. On their side they don't have this, they live from the Earth and don't really have much more, therefore they are not exposed to something more temptative and are happy with what they have.
